More information about the contest

Nadja Swarovski,

is the daughter of Helmut Swarovski, president and chairman of the board of directors of D. Swarovski & Co. Born in Germany, raised in Austria and schooled in Europe (Germany, France, Spain and Italy) and the United States, she is the fifth generation of the Swarovskis to work for the family business.
As Vice President of Communications, Nadja initiated and set up the Corporate Communications Unit London in November 2000, where the concept of the Creative Service Center and Communication merged. While continuing to rediscover and support talent in the fashion and jewelry industries, Nadja initiated the revival of the chandelier, thus moving into the Home Décor/Lifestyle arena. The music and movie industries have also become areas of concentration, where Swarovski crystals allow the stars to shine even more brightly.

Birgit Rieder,

Head of Gem Creative for the Synthetic and Gemstone Business of Daniel Swarovski Corporation / Signity Co., has worked for the Swarovski Group for the past dozen years. Later she became Manager for Special Marketing Projects and Head of Gem Creative, the trend and design department of Swarovski’s Synthetic and Gemstone Business. It was in the context of her most recent position that Birgit initiated the Signity fine jewellery trends forecasting service, Gem Visions. During the past five years that Birgit has managed this pioneering initiative, Gem Visions has grown to be a widely acclaimed and highly valued design and marketing tool for the jewellery industry.

Pippa Small,

jewellery designer, has a varied design background having had her own label for many years. She has also worked with Tom Ford for Gucci, Chloe, Dosa, Nicole Farhi and Bamford as a consultant. She is inspired by rough minerals and rocks, organic forms and plant life as well as ancient and classical designs, her work is using beaten high karat gold and uncut gems and unusual crystals. Pippa has started now to work with various indigenous communities on a fair trade basis working with woman and sometimes men on local traditional crafts. She researches old traditional designs, local materials and resources and then instigates projects that allow people to use their skills and to create something together that we hope will find an appreciative audience in the west.

Nathalie Colin Roblique,

was appointed Creative Director within the Swarovski Group for Daniel Swarovski fashion design and for the jewellery, accessory and Crystal Living line in February 2006. In all her former scopes of function Nathalie acted in a varied range of areas (ready-to-wear, accessories, costume jewellery, lingerie, sport, trade shows, cosmetics and luxury jewellery). For nearly ten years Nathalie functioned for the agency Promostyl in Paris, later she worked as a freelance for international trademarks and record companies, with most of her work focused on image concepts or design issues - before she created Cultural Sushi, the trademark and design consultancy agency. Then she left her agency and dedicated her mission to crystal.
